Fair Competition & Skill-Based Question Policy
Effective Date: 11/6/25
Last Updated: 11/6/25
At Winnable Competitions, we are committed to running fair and legally compliant competitions. This Fair Competition & Skill-Based Question Policy outlines how we ensure all competitions, prize draws, and contests conducted through our website https://www.winnablecompetitions.co.uk/ are administered fairly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
1. Fair Competition Principles
We strive to uphold the following principles in every competition we run:
a. Equal Opportunity
All eligible participants are given an equal chance to enter and win, subject to the official competition rules and entry requirements.
b. Transparency
We clearly communicate the rules, deadlines, eligibility criteria, judging processes, and prize details. Any changes or updates to a competition will be made available promptly.
c. No Purchase Necessary
Where required by law, entry into a competition will not require a purchase or payment of any kind.
d. Integrity of Entry
Fraudulent behaviour, or automated/bot entries are strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to disqualify participants who do not comply with the competition rules.
2. Use of Skill-Based Questions
In compliance with certain regional laws—particularly in UK, Canada and some U.S. states—we may include a skill-based question (e.g., a math problem or general knowledge question) as a condition of claiming a prize.
Why We Use Skill-Based Questions:
To distinguish our competitions from illegal gambling or games of chance
To comply with legal requirements in jurisdictions where chance-based prize awards are restricted or prohibited
How Skill-Based Questions Work:
The question will be reasonable and require a basic level of knowledge or logic (e.g., “What is 12 x 4 – 8?”).
The question may be administered during the entry process, ticket purchase or when a winner is contacted.
A correct answer is required for a winner to claim the prize.
If the selected winner answers incorrectly, an alternate winner may be selected.
3. Eligibility & Verification
To ensure fairness:
Participants must meet all eligibility requirements as outlined in the competition rules (e.g., age, residency).
We may require identity verification before awarding a prize.
We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who is found to have violated the rules or used unfair methods to enter.
4. Judging & Winner Selection
Depending on the competition type:
Skill-Based Competitions (e.g., creative submissions) are judged based on pre-set criteria such as originality, creativity, and relevance.
Random Draw Competitions (e.g., sweepstakes) use random selection software or certified methods.
Where required, winners must answer a skill-testing question correctly to qualify.
5. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute regarding any aspect of a competition:
Our decision will be final and binding.
We may consult third-party adjudicators or legal advisors where fairness is questioned.
Participants may contact us at support@winnablecompetitons.co.uk to raise concerns or request clarification.
12.Free Entry Option
We offer a free entry option to comply with law, you will need to send a letter to Winnable Competitions address by first class stamp. If you wish to enter the competition for free please email support@boxt.co.uk so we can provide you with the address.

Age Verification Policy
Winnable Competitions
Effective Date: 01/06/25
1. Purpose
Winnable Competitions is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to age restrictions on competition entries and prize distribution. This Age Verification Policy outlines how we ensure that only eligible individuals can enter competitions that have age-based entry requirements.
2. Age Restrictions
Certain competitions or prizes offered through our platform may only be legally available to individuals who are:
Aged 18 or over (e.g. cash prizes, alcohol-related items, or high-value goods)
Aged 21 or over (in rare cases depending on prize or sponsor criteria)
Or meet another minimum age requirement specified in the individual competition’s Terms & Conditions
The minimum age requirement for each competition will be clearly displayed on the entry page and within the official rules.
3. Verification Process
We reserve the right to verify the age of all participants in age-restricted competitions using one or more of the following methods:
a. Self-Declaration
All entrants must confirm their date of birth and affirm they meet the minimum age requirement before entering.
b. Proof of Identity
If an entrant is selected as a winner or if we detect suspicious activity, we may request formal identification such as:
Passport
Driving licence
Government-issued photo ID
Birth certificate (where appropriate)
c. Digital Age Verification Services
We may use reputable third-party providers (e.g. 1account, Yoti, or LexisNexis) to securely verify the age of entrants where required. These services may cross-reference publicly available databases without affecting your credit rating.
4. Failure to Verify
If an entrant:
Fails to provide valid age verification when requested, or
Falsifies their age or identity,
They will be disqualified, and any prizes won will be forfeited. A new winner will be selected in accordance with the original competition rules.
5. Data Privacy
All data submitted for age verification is:
Collected in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
Used only for the purpose of age verification
Stored securely and deleted once verification is complete (unless legally required to retain)
Please see our [Privacy Policy] for full details on how we manage and protect personal data.
6. Responsible Competition Practices
We take our responsibilities seriously when it comes to promoting competitions that could attract underage entrants. We:
Clearly display age restrictions where applicable
Do not promote age-restricted competitions to underage audiences
Do not allow entry from individuals who do not meet the minimum age requirements
